My Book Live 2TB Very slow

I actually joined the drive to my Linksys satellite router then lived out the setup utilizing a Dell Studio laptop associated via satellite to the router. I did not begin any reinforcements. There is nothing else animated on the grid. The right to gain entrance times to the drive are quite moderate. Duplicating indexes to the default offered space on the drive midpoints less than 2.5MB/sec. Erasing a document utilizing pioneer takes some moments to distinguish the document before I get the affirmation to erase. Opening the dashboard for the head in Chrome takes numerous seconds to update from one menu to an alternate one.

There could be a variety of things that can affect the data transfer speed. Lets start with the router. Does the 4 ports on the Linksys router Gigabit or 10/100 speed? This makes a big difference in data speeds.

Your Dell Laptop and Linksys Router, do they both run and are connected on 802.11n? e.g. if your Router WiFi only supports 802.11G, but your Dell can support 802.11N, then your data transfer will be based only on the slower G.

Also, make sure that the MyBookLive has been updated to the latest Firmware 01.02.03.
